The dispatch console is a live status board. Each job carries its current state, so the person at the counter and the person in the yard read the same answer to the same three questions: what is out, what is due back, and who is picking up.

The map plots every job as a pin, colored by urgency and by service type. A dispatcher can look at one screen and see which sites are waiting, which are routine, and which drivers should go where next. The driver pickup queue turns that into a working order for the day — pickups and returns lined up, not scribbled on a whiteboard.

Most rental operations already run on a spreadsheet, and the spreadsheet mostly works — until there are two of them. Double bookings do not come from spreadsheets; they come from copies. One version on the counter, one in a truck, one attached to an email, each slightly different, each confidently wrong.

Vercid's inventory grid keeps the spreadsheet feel — rows, columns, fast keyboard editing, the way Excel and Sheets feel — but there is exactly one of it. The dispatch board reads the same record the grid does. When a unit goes out, it reads as out everywhere, for everyone, at the same moment.

Changes are logged, not overwritten. Every edit lands in an append-only audit log, so you can see what a row said last Tuesday, who changed it, and when. One record. Nothing lost.

The grid holds each unit's current assignment. The map shows the jobs those units are assigned to. Between the two, "where is the 60-foot lift" stops being a phone call and becomes a lookup.

Ops views for fulfilment and exceptions surface the units that need attention — what is late coming back, what is committed but not yet delivered — so problems show up on a screen instead of in an angry call. Full-text search covers the whole record: find a unit by name, a job by address, or a change by what it said before it was changed.

Your operation runs at your own subdomain — yourcompany.vercid.com — rendered in your colors, your fonts, your logo. Members are invited with roles and licensed per seat, so the dispatcher, the counter, and the drivers each see what their role needs. Sign-in is Google SSO, and Postgres row-level security keeps each workspace's data strictly its own.

The iOS and Android app wraps the same workspace, so a driver in a truck sees the same queue the office sees, with push notifications for chat. In-workspace chat and email notifications keep the conversation next to the record it is about, instead of scattered across text threads.
