What ERP, CRM, and CMS mean in one system

The three acronyms describe functions, not three separate products. ERP is the operational core: which jobs are running, which equipment is where, what needs to go out or come back. CRM is the relationship: who your clients' people are, what each of them can see and do, and the conversation between your team and theirs. CMS is the presentation: the workspace each client signs into, carrying their colors, their logo, their announcements and files.

In Vercid the three are not stapled together — they share one database and one single live record. The dispatch job your crew updates is the same record your client watches on their dashboard, and the same record the audit log tracks. Nothing is exported between modules, so nothing is silently lost between them.

The six modules

Vercid ships as six modules. Each has its own page; together they cover the working day of a service business.

  • Inventory — an inventory grid that looks and edits like a spreadsheet, where changes are logged rather than overwritten.
  • Dashboards — a modular widget dashboard composed per client: metrics, files, announcements, billing, and custom widgets.
  • White-label — full client-brand rendering, with each client's colors, fonts, and logo at their own clientname.vercid.com subdomain.
  • Chat and mobile — in-workspace chat between your team and each client, plus iOS and Android apps with chat push notifications.
  • Security and audit — an append-only audit log with full-text search, Postgres row-level security, and Google SSO.

Why one platform instead of three tools

The alternatives split the record. Legacy insurance-integrated suites hold operational data but give the client nothing to look at. Generic field-service tools cover jobs but not the equipment ledger or the client workspace. The gaps get filled with spreadsheets and email, and the true state of the operation ends up spread across systems that do not agree with each other.

On a single platform, the question of which version is right stops existing. Status changes, inventory edits, and conversations all attach to one live record, and the append-only audit log keeps every prior state searchable. When a number changes, you can see what it was, who changed it, and when.

Operational views for fulfillment and exceptions sit on top of the same record, so the person chasing an exception is reading the same data as the crew that logged the job.

How Vercid delivers it

Vercid is multi-tenant. Each client workspace lives at its own subdomain — clientname.vercid.com — rendered fully in that client's brand. Postgres row-level security separates tenant data at the database layer, users sign in with Google SSO, and access is managed with members, roles, invites, and per-seat licensing. Notifications go out by email and, on mobile, by push.

How do the ERP, CRM, and CMS layers in Vercid share data?

They read and write the same record in the same database. A job updated in the dispatch console is the same record your client sees on their dashboard and the same record the append-only audit log tracks. There is no sync step between modules, so there is nothing to fall out of sync.

Can a service business adopt Vercid one module at a time?

Yes. Each workspace's dashboard is composed from modular widgets, so a workspace can open with only the views an operation needs — a dispatch board and an inventory grid, for example — and add metrics, billing, files, or chat later. Everything added attaches to the same live record.
