Client communication inside the portal, on web and mobile

Vercid puts client communication inside the portal itself. The provider team and the client chat in the same branded workspace that holds the records the conversation is about — jobs, files, billing, inventory. An iOS and Android app wraps that workspace, so the dashboard, the records, and the chat travel to the field, and new chat messages arrive as push notifications on the phone. Email notifications cover the people who live in their inbox. The conversation stays next to the work it concerns, in one place, under one login. One record. Nothing lost.

Chat is not a bolted-on messenger. It is part of the workspace at clientname.vercid.com, rendered in the client's own colors, fonts, and logo — so from the client's side, the conversation happens inside their portal, not inside a vendor's app.

Chat next to the records it concerns

Client communication usually scatters. A question arrives by email, the answer goes out by text, and the decision lands in a phone call nobody wrote down. The record of the work and the record of the conversation drift apart, and someone reconstructs the story later. Vercid removes the distance: chat between your team and the client lives inside the workspace, alongside the jobs, files, and billing the conversation is about.

Because both sides are signed into the same workspace, a question about a job gets answered while looking at the job. A question about an invoice gets answered next to the invoice. Nothing has to be re-explained from memory, and nothing is silently lost.

A mobile app that wraps the workspace, not a companion app

The Vercid iOS and Android app is not a reduced mobile companion with its own screens and its own gaps. It wraps the workspace itself. Whatever a user sees on the web — the modular dashboard, the dispatch console, the spreadsheet-style inventory grid, files, billing, chat — is the same workspace on the phone.

The client's branding carries over for the same reason. The workspace renders in the client's colors, fonts, and logo, and the app shows that same branded workspace. There is no second product to learn and no separate mobile permission model: members, roles, and per-seat licensing apply everywhere, and sign-in works the same on every device, including Google SSO.

Push notifications for chat, email for everything else

A message that sits unread is not communication. When someone sends a chat message in the workspace, the mobile app delivers a push notification on iOS and Android — a dispatcher, a crew member, or a client sees it without keeping a browser tab open.

Email notifications cover the rest. Not everyone lives in an app; plenty of clients live in their inbox. Vercid sends email notifications so activity in the workspace reaches people through the channel they actually watch.

Built for field service: dispatch, chat, and mobile in one workspace

Field service work splits people across places — dispatchers at a screen, crews in trucks, clients waiting for word. Generic field-service tools tend to handle the scheduling and leave the communication to whatever texting arrangement the crew improvises. Vercid keeps both in one workspace: the dispatch console, with its live status board, map pins colored by urgency and service type, and driver pickup queue, sits beside the chat, and the mobile app carries both into the field.

Common questions

Can clients message our team inside their branded portal?

Yes. Chat between the provider team and the client is built into the workspace at clientname.vercid.com, next to the jobs, files, and billing the conversation concerns. The workspace renders in the client's own colors, fonts, and logo, so the client is messaging inside their portal, not inside a third-party app.

Do chat messages trigger push notifications on the mobile app?

Yes. The iOS and Android app delivers push notifications for chat messages, and email notifications reach the people who are not in the app.

Is the mobile app a separate product from the web workspace?

No. The app wraps the workspace itself, so the dashboard, dispatch console, inventory grid, files, billing, and chat are the same on the phone as on the web, with the same membership and roles.
